FIRST FRIDAY GROUP :

 “Report” for  01 September 2006

Why not spend a once-a-month-Friday-evening exercising your grey matter rather than sitting and vegetating in front of a TV screen ?  You can do that any time.  Summer is fast disappearing and autumn is beckoning.  This means that it’s time for the First Friday Group to start its 2006-2007 season.  The paragraph below describes what the Group is, what the Group does and so on.  It’s also interesting and it’s fun.

The First Friday Group meets on the first Friday of each month (excepting January and March, when it’s the second Friday) during the Winter season in the Nelson Street Lounge at 7.30 pm.  During the “meeting” guest speakers and in-house sessions provide interactive learning opportunities to discuss topics and issues, both local and international, of importance to church members.

The group looks forward to Sheena Garden who is our first guest speaker at the beginning of October.  Sheena will be talking about her work at Historic Scotland in general and about the Stirling Castle Project in particular.  Members are very welcoming and certainly don’t bite.  Refreshments are served half-way through each session.  Hope to see you there.
