| General Information |
|
| SUNDAY SERVICE is held at 11.00 a.m. Coffee is served in the lounge, after the Service, and gives an opportunity to meet other church members Visitors are particularly welcome. |
|
SACRAMENT of the LORD’S SUPPER is held regularly four times per year during the months of March, June, October and December. Two services are held on the Sunday at 11.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. Elders call on members during the three weeks prior to the Communion to deliver the quarterly Church Magazine and Communion invitations. Members are invited to attend, but all members of the church of Jesus Christ, of any denomination, are welcome as visitors. Additional communions are held at Easter and Christmas and other suitable times.
Home Communion is available upon request.

| SPECIAL SERVICES are held at Easter and in September (Harvest Thanksgiving) and December (Christmas Gift Service and Christmas Family Service). |

| BAPTISM is dispensed by arrangement with the Minister. Normally Baptisms take place in the presence of the congregation. Friends and relatives are most welcome and space at the front of the church can be reserved to receive them. As baptism is a sacrament it takes place toward the end of the normal service. Baptism will be given to persons of any age as a step to becoming members of the church. |

| NEW MEMBERS are welcome in the Church. If already a confirmed member of the Church of Christ, joining by certificate or some token of membership is accepted. If for the first time, there are Communicants’ classes for both young people and those of more mature years, and application should be made to the Minister. |

| MARRIAGES are arranged in consultation with the Minister who must be informed before the time and date is made final. |
|
| ILLNESS or TROUBLE Please inform the Minister, either directly or via the visiting elder or fill in a pew card. |
|
| FUNERALS Please notify the Minister or the Church Secretary immediately about a death. It is essential to consult the Minister before making funeral arrangements. The Church is at the disposal of all members. |

| MIDWEEK SERVICES are held before Christmas and Easter. Dates are intimated in the weekly Church announcements in the Greenock Telegraph. The format is informal and a light lunch of soup and bread is available prior to the Service. If you have never attended please do so, and if you have ..-.....why not bring a friend? |

| SUNDAY COFFEE is available is in the lounge after the Service. Visitors are most welcome as it provides an opportunity to meet others. |
|
| VESTRY HOUR The Minister is available on a Wednesday evening in the Vestry from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. |
|
| CHURCH MAGAZINE A Church magazine is issued prior to each communion (4 times per year). |
|
| LIFE AND WORK magazine is distributed within the Church each month. No charge is made but a contribution box is available to help defray costs. |
|
| BIBLE STUDY is held regularly. The Good News Bible is used and a copy will normally be found in the pew. |
|
| CHOIR there is an active senior choir who practice regularly. New members are always welcome. The Church singing is led by the choir with most hymns being from the Church Hymnary Version 4, which is handed out at the door. |

| ORGANISATIONS are open to everyone. You will be made most welcome. (See Our Groups link) |
